Hello and welcome parents and students! Hola y Buenos dios! My name is Kimberly Guzman and I am so proud to be teaching your student this year. I would like to share a few things about myself with you so you can understand a little bit about me and my expectations for this year.
First of all, my teaching philosophies are as follows:
The learning environment should be a safe and fun environment.
All children should be able to freely express themselves without fear of reprisal or ridicule.
Children should be engaged at all times.
With structure and a solid schedule children function at a low rate of anxiety and a high rate of readiness to learn and use of creativity.
Parental involvement is key to the successful and healthy educational process for their child.
The third grade teachers plan to take at least 2 field trips and there will be many small projects throughout the year. Plenty of notice will be given along with permission slips and calendars so you can be aware of what is due and what is being covered in the classroom.
My office hours are from 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Should you need to conference with me, my conference time is from 11:50 a.m. – 12:20 p.m. Please feel free to write me a note or email me to schedule a conference should you need one.
